Abstract:
The aim of this research is to discover the merging of educational and information technology in the educational system in the Kingdom of Bahrain from the students’ point of view. Several questions have been raised. The sample consisted of (80) students studying status of educational and information technology in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Suitable statistical techniques were used in the analysis of data. Results have indicated that various types of educational and information technology should be integrated in the educational system in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It was also concluded that educational and information technology is used to vary the educational purposes and make self-learning available to the learners. To integrate the educational and information technology several requirements are needed such as; strong infrastructure, teacher training, redesigning the learning environment. It was also concluded that there were some difficulties which might prevent the integration of educational and information technology in the educational systems. Among these are: lack of human and financial resources, unavailability of flexible curriculum, self-learning, infrastructure awareness of teachers. Some recommendations are suggested.
