The Relation between the Anthropometric- Physical Measures and the Steadiness and Movement in Basketball Free Shot Accuracy

Abstract

This study aims at identifying the relation between the anthropometric physical measures and the steadiness and movement in Basketball free shot accuracy with regard to physical education students at Al-Najah National University. It aims, as well, at showing the effect of sex variables on anthropometric –physical measures with relation to free shot accuracy. To achieve this, a sample of 52 students, 32 males and 20 females was tested. The study revealed that there is virtually weakness in the level of free shot accuracy with both male and female students with regard to steadiness and movement. Furthermore, results showed that muscular power proved most effective in free shot accuracy concerning steadiness and movement. The results also showed that there is strong relation between shooting with steadiness and stature height and shooting with movement and palm length.
