The Relationship between Transformational Leadership and Effectiveness of Decision Making for the Heads of Education Supervision Departments in Buraydah – Qassim (Field Study)

dc.description.abstract The study aimed to identif the level of practicing transformational leadership using five dimensions: ideal influence (charisma), inspirational motivation, individual considerations, intellectual stimulation, and enablement. The study also investigate it's relationship to the effectiveness of decision making process in Qassim Region. The sample consisted of 100 supervisors representing )34.1%( of the study population. The results of the research showed that the level of transformational leadership was high. The inspirational motivation was the best of the five dimensions (with an average of 4.07 and a mean 81.4%). The Individual considerations came next ,followed by the ideal influence. The intellectual stimulation and enablement came last according to the availability level. The results showed that the level of decision-making effectiveness was high according to the viewpoint of the members of the study sample )with an average of 3.778 and a mean 75.6%(. In fact, the ability of identifying the problem was the best )with an average of 77.5 % and a mean 3.876(. The supervision and follow up, and developing alternatives came next )with an average of 76%(. The ability of estimating alternatives was the least with an average of )71.5%(. The study results indicated that there were no differences according to transformational leadership dimensions and decision-making effectiveness on the basis of gender, qualifications and experience dimensions. Moreover, the results revealed that there was a connective relationship which statistically indicated a level of )0.01( among the transformational leadership dimensions and the decision making effectiveness. en_US
