dc.description.abstract This study sought to elucidate the role of social competence in determining the level of aggressive behavior in students with hearing disability. The researcher reviewed the basic concepts, theoretical framework, and previous studies related to the research problem and its variables. The main study question was as follows: Does social competence relate to aggressive behavior in the hearing disabled? Study tools: Two measures have been used for gathering the research data: Social Competence Scale and Aggressive Behavior Scale )both were developed by the researcher(. The study sample consisting of )77( students with hearing disability, were selected from the Al-Amal Institute for the Deaf in Riyadh. The most important results were as follows: Statistical analyses of the study data showed that four patterns were prevalent for aggressive behavior among the study sample. Also, there were statistically significant differences (p<0.01) in the means of aggressive behavior between the high and low social competent groups. Furthermore, the results revealed a significant correlation (p<0.01) between social competence and aggressive behavior among the study sample. The study concluded by providing a number of recommendations related to the development of social skills and the reduction of aggressive behavior among individuals with hearing disabilities, and proposals for future research were also suggested. en_US
