Abstract:
The study aimed to identify the level knowledge of primary stage teachers of sustainable development standards and its relation to their students motivation towards environmental sustainability. The study sample consisted of )120( male and female teachers, and their students totaling )480( students, who were chosen randomly by teachers who are studying 10th grade way primary in the Directorate of Education for the second Zarqa public schools for the academic year )2015/2016(. The study applied the descriptive analytical approach, and adopted two tools: questionnaire the level knowledge of primary stage teachers of sustainable development standards, where consisted of )37( a standard spread over three domains )social, and environmental, and economic(, and the measure of the motivation of students toward environmental sustainability, and be one of the ) 30( items, and the results showed that the level knowledge of the 10th grade teachers sustainable development standards in the three domain was medium. The domains came as follows: social then economic, and finally environmental. Came the results of the analysis of the motivation of the students measure towards sustainability environmental moderately, while regarding the relation between the level knowledge of teachers’ in the primary stage and the motivation of their students about environmental sustainability and the results were statistically significant.
