Abstract:
The aim of this study was to detect the characteristics of language and Speech for a sample of kindergarten children and to analyze some of the linguistic texts to determine the qualitative features of the speech of children at this stage. The study sample consisted of (150) boys and girls, from kindergarten children, aged between (3 - 6) years. The results of the study showed the use of names predominates the kindergarten child's spoken language, and while the use of verbs and adjectives is less represented in the kindergarten child's spoken language. The findings also showed rare use of pronouns and all kinds of letters in the kindergarten child's spoken language. In addition, the obtained results indicated that kindergarten child's spoken language is characterized by the tendency of repetition and the use of the same words. The results showed no significance statistical differences in the means of spoken words between the sexes (male / female (, while there were significance statistical differences in the means number of spoken words between children in the study sample that is attributed to the variable of age.
