dc.description.abstract The current study aims at detecting the psychometric indicators of Papanstasiou’s (2005) Attitude toward Scientific Research Scale to identify the mindsets of Arabian Gulf University graduate students in terms of scientific research, and to detect the differences based on the research variables. To achieve the goals of the study, the scale is implemented on a random sample of fifty-four male and female AGU students during the academic year of 2015-2016. The results reveal that the scale is valid and reliable in measuring the students’ attitudes of scientific research. In addition, the results indicate that the majority of the students generally have highly positive attitudes of scientific research. The results also show that there are no statistically significant differences in the attitudes of students towards scientific research on the total score of the scale in terms of gender and university certificate stream, level of education )PhD & MA(, and the type of the program. The study recommends conducting further studies on different samples of graduate students from various cultures and different majors. en_US
