Abstract:
The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of adopting storytelling as
a teaching method on developing the achievement of the seventh-grade female
students in the courses of Technology in Tulkarm Governorate between 2016-
2017. The researchers adopt an experimental approach through which the
instruments of the study are applied to 80 students. The students are divided
into two groups: an experimental group and a control group. The researchers
employ an achievement test composed of 12 multiple-choice questions, 15
essay questions, and a group of 7 written stories. The results of the study
reveal that there are statistical differences when alpha is )0.05( between the
experimental and control group in favor of the experimental group. The
researchers recommend that it is essential to adopt the story-telling method
in teaching technology courses. The researchers also recommend training the
teachers of technology courses on using the story telling method.
