Abstract:
This research aims at measuring the efficiency of a programme based on the
international standards of electronic readability in treating reading disorders
of fourth-grade pupils in the State of Kuwait. The studied sample consists of
40 primary school pupils who are divided into two groups: an experimental
group and a control group. The researcher adopts descriptive and experimental
methods to verify the effectiveness of the programme. She also implements
the observation Checklist of Reading skills for fourth grade pupils in Kuwait.
The research reveals a number of results: a statistically significant difference at
)0.01( level between the experimental group and the control group pupils' mean
scores on the post-administration of the observation Checklist of Reading skills
in favor of the experimental group pupils, and a statistically significant difference
at (0.01) level between the experimental group pupils' mean scores on the pre-/
post- administration of the observation Checklist of Reading skills in favor of the
post-administration.
