Abstract:
This study aims to identify to identify the most common strategies used by
secondary stage teachers in the state of Tlemcen, and to know whether there
are differences in this according to the gender variable, family status, and
years of professional experience.
The descriptive survey and comparative method are adopted in the present
research and applied on a sample of two hundred seventy )270( teachers on
ten )10( high schools in the state of Tlemcen )Algeria(. At the same time,
this study has applied the scale of The Proactive Coping with stress made
by )Greenglas, Schawrzer, Jakubiec, Fiksenbaum, & Taubert, 1999(. and
translated from English into Arabic by Dr. Gaber Mohamed Abdallah )2006(.
The methodology and the fndings led the study to reach the following results:
t There are differences in the dimensions of the list of preparedness in favor
of the arithmetic average versus the mean.
t Statistically, there are no signifcant differences among the sample individuals
with respect to both the gender variable, family status, seniority in the
work, except for the differences in each of the strategy of Proactive Coping
for confrontation in favor of female teachers, search strategy for seeking
emotional support in favor of the category of married class, strategy of
Proactive Coping to tackle the category of seniority more than 30 years.
