Abstract:
This study aimed to shed the light on the impact of competition anxiety from the
perspective of football players in the clubs of Nablus governorate, in addition to;
identifying the differences in the views of the study sample attributed to variables
of; (place of residence, club's degree and years of experience), about the impact of
contribution anxiety in the competition among the football players in the clubs of
Nablus governorate.
The researchers used the descriptive method in their survey, and the study was
conducted on a sample of )57( football players from Nablus governorate clubs, among
them are (The Balata Youth Center, Askar Youth Center, Al-Ittehad Sports Club
and the Club of Balata People as appropriate to the study environment(. To achieve
the objectives of the study, a questionnaire about anxiety of competition was used
in its fnal form after adjusting it to suit the community of study. The researchers
used a questionnaire consisting of (16) paragraphs distributed on (3) areas; physical
disorder, which consists of )6( paragraphs, psychological disorder, which consists of
(5) paragraphs, self-confdence which also consists of (5) paragraphs.
The results of the study show that the total score of the areas; (psychological
disorder, physical disorder, and self-confdence) of the impact of competition anxiety
from the viewpoint of football players in the clubs of Nablus governorate was great,
and the study recommended the need to pay attention to the Psychological preparation
before competitions, and the use of modern methods in overcoming the high level of
anxiety and reduce the players' nervousness.
