Abstract:
The current study aimed at identifying the effects of using the Edmodo
Learning platform on achievement and the development of critical thinking
among students of the Kindergarten Department at the Faculty of Education
in Al-Muzahmiyyah, Shaqra University. The researcher used the quazi experimental method and developed a guide for teachers in teaching the
course "Methods of Teaching Kindergarten" for students at the seventh level
in the Department of Kindergarten using the Learning platform Edmodo.
The researcher prepared two tools an achievement test and a critical thinking
test. The number of female students in the experimental and control groups
were )60( students. )30( female students in the experimental group, and )30(
female students in the control group. The research results showed signifcant
differences between the means of the experimental group students )Which
taught the course using the Edmodo Learning platform( and the control group
students )which was taught the same course by the usual manner( in the
Achievement and the critical thinking post-test in favor of the experimental
group. The value of Eta square (2) in the calculation of the effect of using of
the «the Edmodo learning platform» showed a high effect on the development
of achievement, and critical thinking. According to the fndings, the study
suggests many recommendations.
