dc.description.abstract This study aimed at identifying the degree of teaching performance practice for professors and its relationship to the level of student teacher acquisition of life skills in the College of Education at Aden University from the students' point of view, and the extent of the difference in the degree of teaching performance practice and the level of life skills acquisition according to the student’s gender and scientifc specialization. To achieve this goal, two tools were built. The frst is a measure of the level of individuals' acquisition of life skills from their point of view, and it consists of six basic skills, which are branched out into (40) sub-skills, and the second tool: a questionnaire of )38( phrases that measure teachers ’teaching performance to develop life skills. Among students, the validity and reliability of the two tools were verifed. The tools were applied to the study sample, which consisted of )101( students in the fnal year of university education, who were selected from four scientifc specializations in the College of Education/ Sabr in the second semester of the academic year 2019/2020. The results of the study showed that the level of the sample's individuals ’acquisition of life skills was of a moderate degree, and that the degree of professors’ practice of their teaching performance was also at the average level. The results also showed a weak correlation between the teaching performance of professors and the level of student teachers ’acquisition of life skills. The study came out with a number of recommendations and proposals, the most important of which is a review of teacher preparation programs to include a life skills course, and an evaluation of textbooks in basic and secondary education in Yemen in light of life skills. en_US
