dc.description.abstract The study aimed to identify to what extent Kuwait University students practice their academic freedom and the role of curriculum in promoting it. To achieve this goal, a questionnaire composed of (33) items was developed. The sample of the study was (707) students. The study came up with a number of results. The most important results of this study were: the respondents considered the extent of their practice of freedom at the University of Kuwait as moderate in all fields, and that there were no statistically significant differences between the averages that can be attributed to gender variable. On the other hand, the results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the averages that can be attributed to specialization and college variables. This is an indication that the nature of the curriculum in theoretical colleges, unlike scientific faculties, helps university students practice their academic freedom, especially in the field of expression of opinion. en_US
